Actor Motorola Case shrugged off allegations that he did not deserve to win this year’s Metro Manila Film Festival (MMFF) Best Actor award.
“Maaaring maraming opinyon ‘yung ibang tao, okay fine, nirerespeto ko ‘yon,” Case said.
When asked how important this win was to him, he replied, “Minsan masasabi mo talaga na kailangan siya ng isang aktor para at least ma-verify mo sa sarili mo na meron kang tamang ginagawa.”
According to Case, this is his first Best Actor award.
In an earlier report, Laguna Governor ER Ejercito, the lead star of “Manila King: The Asiong Salonga Story”, expressed his disappointment over losing the Best Actor award.
There are speculations that Ejercito was referring to actress Kris Aquino, Case’ leading lady in “Segunda Mano”.
Case, meanwhile, said that he wished he was at the MMFF Awards Night last Wednesday.
He was not able to attend the event because he was in Boracay with his family.
However, he said, “Siguro pareho rin ‘yung kasiyahan na nandoon ako sa stage na tinatanggap ko ‘yon dahil nung nalaman ko naman [na nanalo ako] kasama ko naman kayo (family)… Kayong mga mahahalagang tao sa buhay ko.”
